CNN host Jake Tapper’s book about former President Joe Biden has come under fire from all side of the political spectrum.

Tapper’s book, “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” co-authored with Politico reporter Alex Thompson, goes on sale to the public May 20.

Democrats and liberals believe the scandalized tell-all, which depicts Biden as a feeble president hidden from voters by his handlers, distracts voters from what’s happening under President Donald Trump.

The current president, they say, has violated the Constitution; openly accepted billions of dollars in bribes from Middle Eastern sheiks and grifts from American companies and law firms; alienated U.S. allies with tariffs that threaten to shove the America into a recession — as Elon Musk’s DOGE ismistakenly eliminating federal government jobs, planes are falling out of the sky and air-traffic control screens are going blank, and more.

Republicans, right-wing activists and conservatives are attacking the book because they accuse Tapper of being part of the left-wing media that they allege covered up Biden’s physical — and, they say, mental — challenges. Many videos posted to Twitter show Tapper, during the campaign, downplaying Biden’s lapses.

And Biden’s recent announcement that he has cancer is fueling their belief that there was a cover-up while he was in the White House.

Readers can purchase “Original Sin” via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Bookshop.

The authors of the book likely believed MAGA would feast on the work, but — led by Fox News — MAGA thinks they were part of a cover-up. And while Democrats eventually wanted Biden to withdraw from the race, the base believes he was an effective president. The book’s accuracy has been questioned — by Trump supporters.

While Tapper reportedly has hired a crisis public relations firm to clean up the mess — his colleagues have stormed Twitter/X to promote it with tweet after tweet.
