David Lynch may have shuffled off this mortal coil, but his work never will.
“Twin Peaks” burns especially bright in the hearts and minds of fans everywhere.
And now, the cast of the beloved TV show known for damn fine coffee, doughnuts, cherry pie and more curious things is heading off on a national tour.
Good news for local “Twin Peaks” fans — they’re scheduled to make two stops in New Jersey this summer.
Lynch was 78 when he died in January. The director, known for unforgettable movies like “Eraserhead,” “Blue Velvet” and “Mulholland Drive,” created “Twin Peaks” with Mark Frost, forever changing TV with a dreamy, cinematic show that had the country asking who killed Laura Palmer.

The series premiered on ABC in 1990 and ended after the second season in 1991. The 18-episode third season, “Twin Peaks: The Return,” aired on Showtime in 2017.
“Twin Peaks: Conversation with the Stars” will be at Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood Thursday, August 7, followed by the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank Saturday, August 9.
The tour will also come to Sony Hall in New York Sunday, August 10.
The lineup includes Ray Wise, who played Leland Palmer, father to Laura Palmer; Harry Goaz, who played Deputy Andy Brennan; Kimmy Robertson, who played Lucy Moran; and “Twin Peaks: The Return” executive producer Sabrina Sutherland. There will also be a video tribute to Lynch.
VIP ticket options include photos and meet-and-greets.
Alas, Laura Palmer herself, Sheryl Lee, is part of the tour but not scheduled to be at the New Jersey and New York dates.

In October, some lucky fans in the state of Washington, where “Twin Peaks” filmed, will have an “afternoon tea” with the Palmers as Wise and Lee join them at the real Palmer House used in the show (located in Everett, Washington). Mary Reber, the owner of the house, who played Alice Tremond in “Twin Peaks: The Return,” will also be there for the event and house tour.
That same month, Lee and Wise will be at the Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo, Washington, which was used for scenes depicting the Great Northern Hotel, and is the site where Laura Palmer’s body is found at the beginning of the show. (“She’s dead, wrapped in plastic.”)
