Update: We can confirm these bags have been restocked as promised on April 8th in New Jersey. If you’re interested in getting one for $3 instead of $30 on eBay (which is $90 cheaper than they were on eBay earlier this week), run to your local Trader Joe’s now to get one before resellers buy up all the stock.
Some Trader Joe’s locations are not limiting how many bags you can buy (there were no signs at the Shrewsbury, NJ location), so stock will run out fast due to resellers.
It is almost the craziest time of the year – Trader Joe’s is restocking the mini viral tote bag.
Rumors have been circulating for weeks about when this spring tote will return to stores, and some Trader Joe’s locations had these bags out as early as last week.
In 2024, Trader Joe’s sold these bags for $2.99 but they sold out so fast, people were reselling them on Amazon and eBay for hundreds of dollars. We even saw some listings for over $1,000. A $3 bag!
For 2025, the price is set to be the same, but Trader Joe’s will be dropping these totes in fun spring colors, like pastel pink and pastel lavender. These new totes are already selling for $100 to $120 on eBay. These pastel colors match the recent Mini Insulated Bag release.
When is Trader Joe’s releasing the spring Mini Pastel Canvas Tote Bag?
Trader Joe’s is expected to release the spring Mini Canvas Tote Bag on Tuesday, April 8th. Some Trader Joe’s locations have reported they expect to start selling them on Monday, April 7, in some areas.
Now, you can avoid the crazy liners and intense resellers who will presumably buy up all the stock and get this on eBay, but you’ll be shelling out well over $100 for one bag.

Some resellers are listing two bags for $99, if you can find the stock that lasts long enough on site to grab it.
Based on the accompanying imagery, the totes appear to be crafted in the same heavy-duty canvas that Trader Joe’s uses for its larger, classic canvas shopping bags — only, they’re scaled down in size and measure “13 inches long, by 11 inches tall, by 6 inches wide,” the company says.
Each bag features the Trader Joe’s circular logo in alternating embroidery. Purple stitching on the pink tote, pink stitching on the purple tote, blue stitching on the cyan tote, and cyan stitching on the blue tote.
