Hulu has canceled “How to Die Alone,” “Wayne Brady: The Family Remix,” and “Extraordinary” ahead of the 2025-2026 season. “How to Die Alone” and “The Family Remix” each had just one season, while “Extraordinary” had two.

“How to Die Alone” creator and star, Natasha Rothwell, said she was “shocked, heartbroken, and frankly baffled” by the cancelation in a February statement to Variety. She noted that she is shopping the show around to other platforms.

Wayne Brady also seemed open to his family reality show finding a new home. (Hulu ordered the series in 2023, but it later moved to Freeform, with episodes also airing on Hulu the next day.)

“We loved doing season 1, and who knows? Things may change and we may pop up somewhere doing something, but the bottom line is we’re always a family,” Brady told People in February.

While “How to Die Alone,” “Wayne Brady: The Family Remix,” and “Extraordinary” were all canceled, Hulu has renewed several other series ahead of the 2025-2026 season.

“The Kardashians,” “Only Murders in the Building,” “Paradise,” “Reasonable Doubt,” “Shoresy,” “Shōgun,” “Tell Me Lies,” and “A Thousand Blows” have all been confirmed for another chapter. “Rivals” was also renewed, which airs on both Hulu and Disney+. “Solar Opposites” was renewed for a sixth and final season, which is set to premiere this fall.

Premiering this spring and summer on Hulu is season 2 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” season 2 of “Nine Perfect Strangers,” and season 4 of “The Bear.” Long-running Hulu series “The Handmaid’s Tale” will come to an end in May after six seasons.

Hulu series that have yet to be canceled or renewed for another season include “American Horror Stories,” “Deli Boys,” “Mid-Century Modern,” “Hit-Monkey,” “Vanderpump Villa,” and “Dance Moms: A New Era.”
