Patti Sapone is the Photo Manager and Multimedia Specialist for NJ Advance Media. In addition to shooting stills and videos, she trains and assigns freelance photographers. She has more than 30 years of experience covering major events, general news, breaking news, features, and sports. She has won awards from the National Press Photographers Association, New York Press Photographers Association, New Jersey Press Photographers Association, New Jersey Press Association, and the New Jersey Deputy Fire Chiefs Association. Before joining NJ Advance Media, she was a staff photographer with the Star-Ledger, New Jersey News Photos, and the Princeton Packet. She attended Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts, majoring in photography. As part of her studies, she interned as a photo editor at Magnum Photos in New York.
