Liam Melvin was a home run shy of the cycle, going 3-for-4 with three RBI for Madison in its 6-3 victory against Bernards in Madison.
Bernards (11-12) took a 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning when Madison (18-4) tied the game with a three-run bottom of the fourth.
Madison rallied with another three-run inning to take the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Luke McGuire singled and scored two runs for Madison. Andrew Haviland was 3-for-4 and scored a run.
Casey Hoeckele led Bernards with two RBI and batted 1-for-3 with a hit by pitch. Alex Fraunfelder, Matt Falzarano and David DePierro each scored a run.
