Planet Fitness, a popular gym with locations nationwide, often remains open on holidays for those who need to maintain their workout routines.
But it’s not always clear which holidays the chain chooses to observe by closing.
Here’s what you need to know before visiting Planet Fitness this Memorial Day.
Is Planet Fitness open on Memorial Day 2025?
Yes, Planet Fitness will be open on Monday, May 26, despite it being Memorial Day.
Many of the fitness centers will be open during its usual operating hours, as it does every Memorial Day.
However, they vary by location, so it’s best to check with your local Planet Fitness to confirm exact hours. Typical hours for Planet Fitness are between 6 AM and 10 PM, though some Planet Fitness locations are open 24/7.
On most holidays, Planet Fitness remains open for workouts. The only holiday where locations close is on Christmas Day.
However, the gym closes early on the following holidays:
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- New Year’s Eve
