Sick of It All lead singer Lou Koller has some great news: he is officially cancer-free.
The singer was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July 2024, and the band subsequently canceled their summer tour in Europe. His little brother, Pete, who also plays guitar in Sick of It All, was able to crowdfund successfully over $334,000 to cover Lou’s treatments. The singer completed a last round of chemotherapy in February.
Koller posted a video to update fans on the band’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
“Hey everybody, what’s up?” said Koller. “I got some good news for everyone. I got my test results back — the scan results — I mean, and it turns out, it looks like there’s nothing left, no more cancer. So I’m officially cancer-free right now. Thank God for that. And thank you all for your positive vibes, your prayers, all your well wishes. Thank you so much for all your support.”
Koller stated that he will have to get a new scan every six months for a few years to ensure everything is okay. For now, he is healthy, happy, and looking forward to getting himself back to normal.
