Driver, 20, killed in crash on Garden State Parkway ramp

A motorist was killed when she was thrown from her vehicle in a one-car crash on a Garden State Parkway entrance ramp in Ocean County early Sunday, police said.

Giselle Munoz Villar, 20, of Toms River, was driving on the 89A entrance ramp to the northbound lanes of the parkway in Lakewood when she lost control of her car, a State Police spokesman said.

The vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned multiple times. The driver was thrown from the car and died of her injuries, the spokesman said.

Troopers responded to the scene shortly after 4:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
