Cash4Life ticket worth $1K a day for life sold at N.J. deli

A lucky Cash4Life ticket worth $1,000 a day for life was bought for Wednesday’s drawing at a deli in Union County.

The winner purchased the $2 ticket at Quick Stop Deli & Grill on Stuyvesant Avenue in Union, state lottery officials said.

The winning numbers were: 2, 16, 30, 42 and 55. The Cash Ball drawn was 3.

The winner already choose the cash option — worth $7 million before taxes are deducted — a lottery spokesman said Thursday.

The odds of a $2 ticket matching all the winning numbers and winning the top prize of $1,000 a day for life (or the cash option of $7 million) are 21,846,048 to 1. It’s a 1 in 7,282,016 shot to win the second prize of $1 million or $1,000 a week for life.

Cash4Life tickets cost $2 each and are sold in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Tennessee, and Virginia. Drawings are held each day at 9 p.m.

Wednesday marked just the second Cash4Life jackpot won this year. This was just the second Cash4Life jackpot won in 2025, with the previous winner in Pennsylvania on Jan. 3.

The lottery prize is also the second largest one in New Jersey this year, behind a $32 million Pick 6 ticket sold in Jackson in January.
