Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is bringing its revolving conveyor belts and prizes to Bergen County in 2025.
The popular sushi restaurant will open its fifth New Jersey location in Paramus’ Westfield Garden State Plaza Mall at One Garden State Plaza Pkwy. early next year.
The chain has not yet announced an official opening date.
It will replace the former Microsoft store on Level 2 close to AMC Theatres, the Food Court District, the LEGO Store and Forever21.
The 3,643-square-foot space will be designed with 21 booth seats and five counter seats. Kura Sushi serves its over 100 Japanese dishes, including sushi, sides and desserts, via a two-layered conveyor belt system and drinks via delivery robots called Kur-B the KuraBot directly to customers at their table.
When you place 15 plates into the Bikkura Pon prize vending machines at each booth, you’ll win a collectible in collaboration with popular anime series, cartoons and video game franchises. Past collaborations include video game “Pikmin,” anime series Demon Slayer and animated show and comic strip “Peanuts.”
The chain is currently hiring and looking for a restaurant assistant manager. You can find the application here.
After the Paramus location, one more Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is planned to open in Lawrenceville. The two sushi bars follow the opening of the company’s latest location in Cherry Hill on Oct. 19, according to NBC Philadelphia.
Kura Sushi’s other three Garden State locations are situated in Edison, Fort Lee and Jersey City. They are part of the company’s chain of 69 locations across the United States.
Ten other sushi bars are scheduled to open soon in Arizona, California, Colorado, Indiana, Utah, Washington and Texas.
